CBSE Science Challenge –2021-22
“Science is inexplicably linked with our lives and helps us to understand the world around us better. Scientific and technological developments contribute to progress and help improve our standards of living. By engaging with this subject, students learn to think, solve problems and make informed decisions. As an initiative to generate curiosity, inquiry, and higher-order thinking amongst the learners, the Board is organizing the CBSE Science Challenge for students of classes 8th to 10th.”
A total number of 26 students have been registered for CBSE Science Challenge –2021-22 from our school as a response to the above CBSE circular. After registration, we attended the training followed by a quiz. Now we are able to download our participation certificates. It was very exciting for me to participate in the CBSE Science challenge. I have learned many new things in chemistry as well as in physics also. I would like to participate in more such competitions. This quiz proved to be very educational and informative for the students. And I thank my school to appreciate the students participating in these types of activities.

Influence of Experiments
In this present week, we had Science lessons in the physics lab. We have done very interesting experiments like, to find the density of any substance, the law of conservation of mass, etc. Before doing these all experiments I had no idea about density. After doing experiments it became very clear for me to explain density and I am able to find the density of any object. Now I understood that density is the ratio of mass to volume. Another experiment that we have done is related to the law of conservation of mass. From this experiment, I understood that in a chemical reaction mass of the will remain unchanged before and after the reaction.

My Take
Science is hugely responsible for the development and modernization of our society. Science is the systematic way of learning to. Science affects the world in many different ways. With the technologies that have been discovered we can now tell how warm or cold it will be for the next week, we will know when a tornado, eruption or any other sorts of natural disasters will occur before they actually happen. Basic knowledge of science is mandatory for everyone as it makes life easier and opens our mind in many ways. We did some experiments related to density .It is one of an important concept of science. It is an important concept of science because it allows us to determine what substances will float and what substances will sink when placed in any liquid. Density is calculated as the mass of an object divided by its volume (d=m/v).We learnt that pure substances have definite densities. We also learnt that purity of an object can be checked by finding it's density. Science is an essential part of our life. It made our life easy and brought technology up.

A Learning experience to the school Forest
I went to forest this week with my classmates and Science Teacher. I saw so many types of plants like herbs, shrubs, trees, creepers and climbers. There were many species of plants, and many of them were those which I have never seen before, I observed the soil of the forest it was dark and that contains many nutrients. I compared this soil with field soil which was not that much darker in colour. Nutrient content was very less and it is because of the use of fertilizers in field. In the forest there were only dead leaves and twigs fallen on the ground which make that soil more fertile than field soil. At last we went to a pond it was full of algae and many other microorganisms. We collected some algae and taken to the lab to observe it under a microscope to find how these organisms look under microscope. It was really enjoyable and I have never seen such kind of microorganisms under a microscope. It was really interesting and exciting for me.

Detection of Functional group
The functional group in an organic compound is the part of the molecule that undergoes a structural change during a chemical reaction. It also influences the solubility of the compound in water or in organic solvents. Certain chemical tests will allow the identification of a specific functional group in a compound. The functional groups that will be analyzed in this experiment are alcohols, phenols, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, and amines.
In this experiment, we determined the solubility of different organic compounds in water, dilute acid, or dilute base. This solubility can provide information on what functional group is present or whether the compound has a high or low formula mass. We will perform chemical tests for known organic compounds to suggest the presence or determine the absence of a specific functional group in the compound. These results of both solubility and functional group tests can be used to generate experimental data that will help to identify an unknown sample.

A Visit to Our School Forest
In our school Science week is going on and our teacher took us to visit the forest which is behind the stage. We saw many trees there. It was very big and there was a pond also which was dried. When it will rain there will be water in it.
Forests are the most important part of our ecosystem. It is a very large wild area which grows naturally. It is the beautiful creation of nature. There are many trees, shrubs, grasses, herbs and much more found in the forest . Animals and birds live in the forest. Forest helps to stop floods and reduce pollution.

Life is a journey, not a race
Life is not that something that which people think to be ,it is not only about adjustments and competition or race for success only. Life is a journey which has immense adventures and twist and turns we have to face it but it is not only twist and turns it is and experience for rest of life. In life every situation teaches us a lesson not to lose ourselves but to be stronger more. In today's busy life we think that life is very complicated and it is but our positive view towards it will turn life to an amazing part. People keeps on racing with each other for something to win it is good but thinking it to be a race is not right it is journey which we are going through with a positive vibe. Life is always not about adjustments it is something which we have to enjoy and create a peaceful and fresh aura for us .People keep their life stored but they need to explore the world and life which they have to feel. Life is full on us that how we how to handle it in a exploring way or in a compressed way. Today people keep on running behind their work ,success and forget to give their time for themselves they must understand that life is given once we have to live for own self.

A Beautiful Universe
It is a well known fact that India is famous all over the world for a lot of factors like spices, food, tradition, cultivation etc. But in spite of that, the rest of the countries also known as the foreign countries are also famous for some factors which are much more different and unique than our country. Whenever we talk about technology or modernisation then countries like Japan and the United States Of America are ranked on top. In cultivation and population China and India are considered the best countries. Germany is famous for its great scientists, South Korea for its music industry and entertainment content quality like Squid Games, the US has the best defence force and so on. There are a lot of countries in this world which are efficient in one field or the other but that doesn't mean that India isn't famous like them. Yes, it is true that India is not famous in all the fields but during the British rule in India, it was called the Golden Sparrow because a lot of precious jewels, spices, clothes, festivals, knowledge, craft and a lot more but because at that time India was slave that is the reason the citizens of India weren't able to save there precious stuff and the Britishers took them on their way returning back to their country. But still India has improved and become independent and has become one of the developing countries of the world with great organisations like ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation), Allen, Aims, and so on. The world is different from different angles with different people and different mindsets but that doesn't mean that India is different from the rest. They all are living together and making a peaceful and beautiful universe by helping each other and maintaining a friendship and brotherhood among one another and that makes this world a beautiful world that this beautiful world makes 'A Beautiful Universe'.

                News and Events
Unit Test IV has finished and we are gearing up for closing the Academic session 2021-22. Preparations for Farewell, New Council and Final Exams are picking up speed. We plan to focus on covering up essential concepts and bridge learning gaps for better learning outcomes.
Kindness According to me, kindness means helping each other.  Kindness is essential to make the world a better place. Kindness towards nature, animals and other people can transform the world and make it a beautiful living place. Even nature has its way of showing kindness. For example - trees grow fruits for us and provide us shade. It is essential for all of us to understand the value of kindness. Always remember, it does not cost anything to be kind. Try your best to be kind to everyone around you. It is important to be kind because it makes one feel good about oneself. Moreover, you also get respect in return. Kindness has a lot of benefits which include increased happiness.  Kindness is taught in every religious faith. For example, our parents show kindness to us because they take care of us, they are very friendly with us, and they forgive us for any mistakes we do.
Those who have the quality of kindness are the best person in this world. Being kind is very essential in our life

Respect is a very important part of life. If a person is respected, it makes him feel good and in return, he or she respects you. Respect is important to me because if a person doesn't respect anyone, he would not be admired, and over time, he would grow up to be a very rude and inconsiderate person.I will explain it through an example:-When we give another person our time, we validate them which in return conveys respect. We can show respect by listening to others. If we give respect to anyone,  they will also give respect to us. If we will give respect to our juniors they will also give respect to seniors.

Trees beyond price
Trees beyond price,
Are benevolent to us in every way.
Whether it's before day rise,
Or after the night full of starry spray.
Keeping us alive,
By providing bloomy air.
Trees always revive,
That's why trees should not be slashed to become a Millionaire.
No matter how much we cut down trees,
They still give us fruits to eat.
Humans are only yearning for rupees,
It will make them die in greed.

Life's good Give it a chance
Life is so good. It’s of course not easy, but it’s good. Life is the reason we get everything. Our happiness, our pain, our failure, our success. And you know the good thing, or actually, the best thing about living is you get a chance to make choices. According to me, being a little mature, all of us has to live life ‘our’ way. Everyone has a life of their own. So being noisy and getting into others’ life is as bad as being a nasty neighbour.
‘You are priceless’. Love yourself. Don’t give a damn to people if they call you a spoilt, because you’ll realise it soon that what you’re doing is correct. At the end of the day, you have to remember that you’re life belongs to you. The decisions you take have to be from ‘your’ heart. Life, I’ve always believed is amazing. Because it’s something we own. It’s something we don’t need to pay rent for. It’s something we can truly possess and say that ‘yes! that’s my life. Life is something that each of us has and truly deserves to rule. Believe me, don’t waste your true possession.
Be good to the good life. Be your own ruler. Rule your life. Live better. You’ll smile even more if you’ve understood what ‘you’ meant throughout this article. To search for your life and live it better now.
Tanisha Malviya/ X
Since childhood, we hear from everybody about how it is important to show respect to everyone in the family, grandparents, elders and teachers. Respect is basically a language that one expresses differently for everyone they hold in high regard and feel respectful towards others. Respect is shown differently in different cultures. In our country, India we say Namaste with our hands folded and bow or touch our feet to show respect when we greet each other. This cultural tradition is an ancient one and everyone around the world also has adopted this way because of the meaning and value it holds.  Each and every individual is worthy of respect regardless of their age, class, profession, colour or gender.  And the meaning of Namaste also conveys the same, which means we are equal, and I respect you by bowing down.  In the schools and colleges, we can also convey respect by addressing our teachers as Sir and Ma’am instead of calling them by their first names. Whereas this form of addressing does not hold true for the corporate culture. In offices, it is encouraged to call each other by their first names to develop a healthy working relationship without any biasedness. In the end, I would like to say one need not be loud when being respectful, these subtle gestures are enough to convey your admiration and love for the person. Respecting and honouring someone is truly a great sign of love; it makes the day positive. It also makes you feel better about yourself so choose your way of respecting others and yourself and do not indulge in negativity.

Role of students in National Development
Our school is fully involved in the cause of education for the underprivileged. It is with good reason that the youth are called the hope of the nation. We feel students of colleges and universities can be the most effective against national development. They are not burdened with job responsibilities and can devote time. They may not have funds, but they have enthusiasm and will. Several NGOs and government agencies are willing to lend financial support to useful projects. In India, the avenues of work are unlimited. For students, the most appropriate field is imparting education to the underprivileged. Our school adopted a slum and twice a week, students of class XI took classes for women and children.
Working in slums was another project for our students. The slum dwellers lived in squalid conditions having miserable health. Our students carried out a cleanliness drive and gave basic instructions on hygiene. National development can be achieved by improving the health and ability of the people. Students should not hesitate to work with the lowly and the humble.
Thank you...

Freedom is the best quality that I love and everyone should have it. What is freedom? According to me, it is a way to live. In our life, we cannot become successful without it. It is an essential part of our life. We can live our life comfortably and the way we want to live. It is a very big thing that people don’t know. There is also a Fundamental Right on it “Right to Freedom”. Let’s take an example of our Indian cricketers like M.S Dhoni, Virat Kohli, the legend of cricket Sachin Tendulkar and many others. In the world of cricket, they are the pride of our country. If their parents had not given them the freedom to play then today they would not have been at this stage. Freedom refers to a state of independence where you can do what you like without any restrictions by anyone. Freedom is a very powerful word and it is our duty that we should not take the wrong advantage of it. So, freedom is important in our life and without it, our life can be very tough.

Friendship is one of the most precious gift of life. It is a relationship between people. It is the purest and divine relationship among all other relations. Friends supports you in life not only in the happy times but also in your hard times. True friendship is what gives us reason to stay stronger and happy in life. Many people don't have family but they have friends who are family to them. In a good friendship honesty and loyalty plays a very important role. Having a bestfriend in life is a blessing which doubles your joy and divides your pain. Friends never leaves up in bad times. We learn how to understand people and trust other. A real friend will always motivate you and cheer for you. When we make friends on the first day of school we become very happy but when at last we all get far from our friends we miss them a lot. Whether they made fun of us and whether they helped us in our bad times.

Discipline is an essential part of our life. A society without the proper discipline encourages the unsocial activities such as violence, bad behaviour, etc. Self discipline is most important to achieve complete discipline in life and it also helps to develop better character of the person. Discipline is a way of teaching people to obey a given set of rules and regulations. The main motive of discipline is to prevent people from doing acts of disobedience and negligence. Self-discipline is the ability to push yourself forward, stay motivated, and take action, regardless of how you're feeling, physically or emotionally. The three types of discipline are preventative, supportive, and corrective discipline.
PREVENTATIVE discipline is about establishing expectations, guidelines, and classroom rules for behavior during the first days of lessons in order to proactively prevent disruptions.
SUPPORTIVE discipline, on the other hand, occurs in the case of a transgression. It is usually a verbal warning or a suggestion for the correction of behavior.
CORRECTIVE discipline comes into play when a student has failed to change his or her behavior after repeated attempts at supportive discipline. It mostly refers to the consequences delivered following an infraction. Induced discipline is something that others taught us or we learn by seeing others. While self- discipline comes from within and we learn it on our own self. Self-discipline requires a lot of motivation and support from others. Moreover, the meaning of discipline changes with the stages of life and priority. Not everyone can be disciplined because it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Also, it needs a positive mind and a healthy body. One has to be strict to discipline so that she/he can successfully complete the road of success.

Childhood Memories
Childhood memories are very important in our lives . It makes us remember the best time of our lives...when one has good childhood memories, they grow up to be happy individuals. However ,if one has traumatic childhood memories, if affects their adult life gravely. Growing up ,I have a very loving family .I have three siblings with whom I used to play a lot .I remember the games we used to play especially in the evenings. We used to go out in the park with our sport equipment each day. We played different games and enjoyed a lot.
I remember clearly the aroma of my grandmother's pickles. I used to help her whenever she made pickles . We used to watch her do the magic of combining the oils and spices to make delicious pickles. Whenever I look back my childhood memories flash before me and my eyes are filled with tears full of happiness.

Patience is  crucial for every individual in the world. It is also said that the people who can wait long achieve better things than those with no patience.  It is impossible to get success in a single day , an individual learns about the importance of effort and hard work and not only success. It is false to believe that everything, including happiness, can be obtained only through accomplishments. There are several advantages of having a high level of Patience. It helps one to stay happy and increases the concentration level towards  one’s goal. In the present world, patience is essential for every individual since everyone gets upset and annoyed quickly. Patience is that it helps an individual to make accurate decisions.
It is required for an individual to stay composed at all times to avoid making fast decisions. An individual must always be patient, including difficult times as well.
When an individual begins to see only the positive areas in a situation, it makes the person stay happy even during difficult situations of life.It helps an individual to improve their level of tolerance and accept other individuals easily.

Freedom with Injustice
For the poor of India means of survival are far more important than freedom or legal justice. I don't think the poor of India are free from fear after independence. The foreign rulers have been replaced by corrupt politicians and self serving bureaucracy. Power brokers and moneylender have a field day . The situation has improved  big farmers and moneylenders. The police and revenue officials are still objects of terror for them. The poor, landless workers have to still work hard to make both ends meet. Peasant and tenant farmers have to borrow money from rich moneylenders or exorbitant rates of interest, which usually they fail to repay due to failure of monsoon or bad harvest causes of small farmers committing suicide are quite common. Their children are dying because of hunger .They are not getting proper education and medical health. They don't have their 'pakka houses' . And the government is still busy playing dirty politics instead of keeping eye on poverty and the poor. There is a lack of employment. And that's why very few people are able to break the chain of poverty.

Freedom is the birth of every humans. Freedom is the word used in our life. We should get freedom from all the inequalities. Every person should get freedom. In India, many children were not sent to schools , according to me every children want to go school to educate themselves as a good person, to study well. Freedom for caste system , like '' upper'' and ''lower'' castes. Not discriminate between rich or poor persons.
At the end freedom is very important and we all should get freedom.

Freedom is really important in one's life. According to me we all should get freedom to choose our own career, to fulfill our dreams, freedom from discrimination and many more. We all should get freedom to do every right thing we wanted or to do in our life. According to me girl child should also get freedom to study and get educated to have their own career and not to be seen only as a wife or housewife of someone.
I am really thankful to all the freedom fighters to fought for own freedom we have today.

Unity is the term used to work together or to help together. Unity is very important in our life. It helps us to do difficult things with less effort. Unity is strength. It means that if we have unity we can never ever get defeated by anyone because other people will support you. As you can see India has unity. In India there is a statue of unity of 182 m in Gujarat of sardar walaba bhai Patel. He is a great inspiration for unity. To form a great nation unity is needed. If people would get divided they would not be able to face problems. we should have Unity in our society and no caste, religion etc. discrimination would be done. It is the way to motivate people. When we work together like a team we can achieve goals easily. there should be unity in everything. Including the government, nation and whole world.

The literal meaning of honesty is to be honest to yourself because you can lie to others but not to yourself. If you have done something wrong , you can say that you have n't done anything wrong to others but deep inside you know that you have done it . Similarly , in a class we know that every child does not have the quality of in them , in exam time when the teacher is not in class , every student tries to cheat from one another 's copy . If a child is honest he will do his work without looking  in other students' copies . If we are honest , we are confident in the work which we have done or are doing . It gives us confidence besides , it also makes us proud of what we are doing . That 's why we always say " Honesty Is the Best Policy".

Schools have reopened for Class IX to XII students and staff is back with enthusiasm and determination to make for the lost time.

Happiness is the opposite of sadness .It is an emotion and a feeling of being happy. When our soul is happy we also will be happy. And it's pure vibes  naturally comes from our heart. Happiness is a source to live a life satisfying. Happiness can lead to strong mental health and physically fit. Helping someone makes us happy and refreshes our mind. Once in my colony I was standing in my house balcony and seeing people roaming here and there and a poor old man came. He was looking very hungry , sad and suffering from cold . I went and asked him, " What happened to you don't have a shelter to live a happy life. " He said " Child I don't have anything there is no one of mine in this world." I talked to him. He also talked about his sad story and I listened to him. Then I gave something like food and a sweater and some clothes and slippers too. He gave me lots of blessing and he got happiness.  If we will spread happiness we will also get happiness.

"Trust takes years to build,  seconds to break and forever to repair. "
We are living in a world where we can't expect that all people are honest. Being dishonest is always a cause of problem that can lead us to offend people. It is always seemed that in today's world there is something which someone can lie about. I think lying is wrong and one should always speak truth in whatever situation they are. Because one or the another day truth will come out and there will be many people in your life who will trust you and if you will speak lie than you will break someones trust one day. And of you will not lie people will easily trust you and they will never leave you alone in any situation.  If you will speak lie you are not only lying to someone else but you are lying to yourself. Lying will not give you something good . It will not resolve any of your problem. But if you are a good liar it will resolve your problem for sometime but the truth will come out eventually. But when truth does not come out than the situation get worse and so many problems arise. People sometimes get emotionally and even  physically hurt when we say lies to them. For example,  if you hurt your friend , than you may lose a great friendship that you once had. When someone comes out to confess what they were lying about,  than someone will end up hurting.  Nothing is more bad than losing over a lie . The most important reason you should speak truth is to have a clean personality. Having a clean personality is the best one can have.

Stillness of Mind
In this materialistic world we all run for money, we all are fighting to earn money, we are always busy in competition to be better. But in this race we are forgetting about all negative effects of it. We are continuously destroying our limited resources, hurting our Mother Earth. Woodcutters are destroying forest, fisherman are killing fishes to achieve their target and many more we are killing each other. Countries are preparing many harmful and dangerous weapons which can lead to end of the world.
So to overcome all the situation we should keep quiet and still are mind we should self analysis ourselves and for this self-introspection we have to keep quiet we used to stop all these activities for some time or at least slow down. We all should stop discrimination on the basis of caste, race, sex, etc for a time. We should stop talking in different languages.

Friendship is fragrance of flower, friendship is purity of heart,
Friendship is flow of air ,
Friendship is a very beautiful part of our life. It is the second name of happiness. Whenever, we feel down or exhausted, there will be a person who will be patting our head with vibes of relaxation. It is difficult to describe this bond because it's is widely spread era of joyness. Having a special friend in life is like having heaven on the land. Friend is like a shield who protects us from this cruel world. If you are blessed with such a friend then you are the most luckiest person in the world. Never ever let go of your friend's hand, you are incomplete without them in your life.

When we talk about love  always an image in mind of couples flashes and it is  human behavior but love is not like that .It is something that we feel from the core of our heart. But some science students do not agree  my view of love and they say that heart works to circulate blood. But it's not something to do with science, it is just a feeling of a person for another person and our ancestors say that in every person like there is someone special whom they don't want to hurt in any condition. It is something that two or three friends have in their life in relationship of mother, son ,father and daughter. Have you ever seen any animal they can even love better than the humans when we see a thread after we see a rope. Our love should be like the thread from which the strongest rope is made for whom you love or he/she loves you.
I would like to end with the quote of Ann Landers 'Love is friendship that has caught on fire'.
Heena Sirvi/ XI Humanities
"The most expensive thing in the world is Trust. It can take years to earn and just a matter of seconds to lose."
Trust is something that everyone wants to achieve in their life and also expects from others. Without trust, no relationship can exist whether it is love or friendship. But you know in today's world, people are no longer honest with each other and this is the main reason for fragmentation, conflict, and even sometimes war.
Some of us believe that lying once or twice does not cause any effect on our relationship. But no, it's wrong. We know that truth is never hidden, it is exposed some or other day and when it comes in front, the situation becomes worse and problems arise. People can get emotionally hurt. It is a great thing to be trusted by someone. But taking advantage of that trust in you is never a good thing and will only lead to conflicts. Trust should be valued highly; if broken once it takes years to build or even it never builds again.
Without trust, there is no friendship and without friendship, there is no love.
I believe that if you and your partner are trustful to each other then your relationship becomes happy and excitable. Whatever problem is in your life, you never have to tolerate it alone, you can truthfully tell your partner and become mentally as well as emotionally relaxed.
At last, the sign of a healthy relationship is trust.

Priority can be defined as something or someone more urgent or important than any other thing. Every individual has different priorities such as keeping relationships healthy, being financially independent, staying healthy, and many more. But your first and foremost priority in life should be you. Not in a selfish and self-centered manner, but with self-compassion and understanding. Priorities are the things that give life meaning or a purpose. When it comes to top priority, we should not forget who we are and why are we born as human beings. For example, we have been hearing stories of whales washing up on shores with their entire bellies filled with plastics. In that particular time, as human being, our top priority is to consume less plastic and not to throw factory waste in oceans and seas to save Marine life. By this, we can figure out that top priority depends upon time and situation. Priorities are not all about one individual, it can be about countries, communities, etc.
Some people say that everything has either a positive or negative impact. Likewise, someone's priority can be harmful to others. For example, the priority of terrorism is to create a general climate of fear by using violence. Hence, the most priority should be given to our life because it is the most valuable for us.

A poem on Tree
I shall never see,
A poem on a tree.
Trees which we see every day,
Under them, we play.
Trees are the gift of God,
But we treat them as odd.
Life is impossible without trees,
so if you want to live, save the trees
The poem is made by fools like me,
but only God can make a tree.

The Giving Tree
Trees are very pretentious and noble
They are self denial and humble.
They give us their fruits to eat
And their wood to fulfill people's needs.
They give cool shed under them in the hot scorching sun,
And had never asked anything in return.
They are very kind hearted and full of generosity,
After that also we treat them with brutality.
Just cause they can't walk and talk,
We think they aren't alive.
Trees do have life
They are grown consuming earth's water, minerals and sunlight for years.
Their roots had radiated everywhere in the ground taking several years.
But some people kill them very easily
Without thinking what will happen if there will be no tree?
O it's a humble request  to those please don't kill the giving tree.
