Technology and Education
Technology education is the study of technology, in which our students "learn about the processes and
knowledge related to technology”. As a field of study, it covers one’s ability to meet all the needs, by manipulating materials and tools with techniques. It shows the disconnected relation between wide usage and the lack of knowledge about the technical components of technologies used and how to fix them.
Technology can deliver new educational opportunities for everyone. It offers great opportunities to transform global education at any age level. Technology is continuously developing at a rapid pace and access to technologies such as mobile phones and the internet is increased.
In schools around the world, computers, tablets, smart whiteboards, and other technological devices are being used as part of the learning process. Technology provides a window to the world and access to thousands of learning resources. Learning to stay connected with technologies and using computer coding gives children the skills and confidence to help them get good jobs when they leave school - and in turn, come up with more new technologies.
The number of children around the world using handheld devices, like mobile phones and mini-tablets, is growing. Agencies and organizations are taking advantage of the technology to deliver education where it is most needed.
Technology can be used as a tool for delivering education where it is most needed, especial in humanitarian emergencies such as war or natural disasters.
Students need to be learning the skills necessary for the jobs that have yet to be created Technology can deliver education in places other than a traditional classroom - particularly during humanitarian emergencies such as conflict, natural disasters or epidemics like COVID19.

Discipline is the door to Success
Discipline is something that helps us to be focused on work, activities, or goals. It motivates us to progress in life and achieve success. Discipline is certainly an essential thing in everyone's life. Some people consider it a part of their life and some don’t. I think that it is a guide for us to walk on the right path. Discipline is the key to success. It plays an important role. I think that every person should be disciplined. A disciplined person always thinks positively. It always keeps our determination power. Without discipline, we can't achieve our goal. A disciplined person never wastes his/ her time. Discipline is highly valuable in our life. We have to follow it all the time whether we are in school, office, home, college, and public places. It gives us opportunity, the right way to go ahead, to learn new things in life, to express more within less time. Lack of discipline causes a lot of confusion and disorders. We need to follow rules, obey orders, and behave well in an orderly manner.
Lastly, I will say that we should value the importance of discipline in our daily lives. Because who is not discipline in their life, they have to face lots of problems and get disappointment.
Only if we are disciplined our hearts can be pure

Being Confident
Confidence is a feeling of power that boosts your morale, self worth, and improves your skills. There
are few key factors to be a successful person. One is having confidence, second is hard work and third is patience. You can not succeed in your life if you lack any of those. Having confidence on yourself makes you believe that you can do the task, no matter how hard it is. All what you need is to have little faith, patience and work hard and not lose hope.

Happiness
Happiness is a feeling of pleasure and positivity when someone feels good ,proud, excited, relieved, or satisfied about something, that person is said to be "happy".feeling happy may help people to relax and to smile.
Happiness is usually thought of as opposite of sadness. However, it is possible to feel both at once, often about different things or sometimes even about the same thing.
One essential standard for living is being able to be happy. Happiness can be found in many different forms. You can't live your life in fear or what can go wrong. You just need to go out and live your life to the fullest and know that you'll be happy, even if something doesn't go the way that you had planned to.
Happiness may come and go like the season but in the end, every moment that you have, that is filled with happiness will be well worth.

NEWS & EVENTS
Thursday, 20th August: Due to COVID 19 as the schools are closed, Founder's Day was celebrated virtually by the students and teachers on Google meet. Students and teachers enjoyed the day by singing songs, dancing and wearing party dresses.

FOUNDER'S DAY 2020
Our school was established in 1992 in the village of Bali, Rajasthan by Sir William Bissell and
Sir John Bissell who recognized the need for a model school to empower young people in rural Rajasthan where literacy rates are extremely low, especially among women. After completing his studies in 1988, William Bissell lived for several years in Jodhpur, Rajasthan where he worked with rural artisans and various crafts co-operatives across the state. This formative experience strongly impacted his views on the critical role of education and the lack of high quality, affordable education in rural areas. Sir William was passionate about creative approaches to education which brought out each child's inherent talents and the need to include environmental education in a local context. With input from many creative talents over the years and the strong foundation, today we the students are getting quality education. The co- curricular activities at the school helps children to build our overall personality. Every year we celebrate this day by wearing coloured dresses, dancing and enjoy having fancy snacks. Another regular feature is to do tree plantation to make our school campus even more greener.
This year because of COVID-19 we are celebrating virtually. An online party has been organised we will wear party dresses, will dance and will enjoy home made snacks. On this occasion on behalf of all the students I would like thank our founders for creating a heaven in this place and for giving us the opportunity to rise to greater heights.

Being Focused
Being focused means that you have clear goals and objectives and your work is dedicated to achieving those goals and objectives. When you are deciding what you are going to do in any given moment; you base your decision on how you can make the most progress towards your goals with the time and resources available.
Being focused in the present moment means that you are solely focused on the one activity that you are trying to complete. Anything else is unimportant so you shut out all distractions and give your full and undivided attention to the task at hand. It’s difficult for people to remain focused on one task for a variety of reasons.
For one, we live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with TV, radio, cell phones, Internet social media, as well as a much larger population that lives closer together than ever before. the benefits of being focused are 1=u are quicker 2=u produce higher quality 3=less stress and Being focused is the key to success. It is not about doing the most work; it is about doing your most important work to the highest standard. Only being focused allows you to do that.

In search of myself
Aarav Solanki/ LKG
Have you ever thought about who you are? What you stand for? You can be a friend, son, father, brother/sister, but these are just an aspect of you. Your inner self is who you really are .To know your inner self you must acknowledge your purpose values, your visions, goals, belief. Not what you have been told by others. You need to spend time with yourself.
The biggest adventure of our lives is discovering inner you. In order to be most valuable person to world around you, you have to first know who you really are. Introspection and self awareness is highly required.
If you are not connected with who you really are, you are probably just living your life for other. Pursing others goal and living up to other expectations rather  than what you really want.
'All the wonder you want lies within you

                                  Self Reinvent
There is a phase in your life when you may need to learn how to reinvent yourself. This could come when you experience big things. If you are going through a major situation in your life or facing some challenge you may have to find new ways of thinking or doing things, or take a risk.  You can also achieve this only when you take a leap of faith and make things happen for yourself.
Although it is important that you learn to rely on yourself when facing any challenge, it is also important to have a support of anyone who motivate and guide us if anyone is not, then be yourself motivator and this thing will come into your mind when you give a boost to your mind when things get too tough and to correct you when you’re making mistakes.

"If birds could talk"
One day I was just sitting and thinking, if birds could talk to me then, they would tell me about
the pollution we make in our environment. They would tell me that they cannot see properly in the sky while flying. Pollution is even harmful for plants and animals. During Makar Sankranthi festivals when we fly the kites, the thread used to fly kites, cuts the neck of the birds flying in the sky. Every year on Makar Sankranthi many birds and animals get hurt because of the manjha (thread used to fly the kites). If birds could talk then they would tell me about their hunger and thirst. So everyone try to feed the birds whenever you see the birds. Try to keep some water in a small bowl for the birds.

Kindness
Kindness is the key word for humanity. It is a great emotional virtue necessary for mankind.
We should have it to spread humanity. We should be kind towards human beings, animals, plants and also all living beings. With kindness all living beings can enjoy their lives with peace and prosperity. It also includes live and let live. In this fast running world, kindness helps each other to survive. A kind person is always blessed with God's blessings. There are many ways to show our kindness. We should not pluck flowers unless it is necessary, it is kindness towards plants. We should always help the needy ones. We should help people with disabilities. We should give food to animals and birds. These small tasks gives us inner peace.

Simplicity is the hardest quality to acquire
Simplicity is one of those qualities which actually differs from its meaning. When this word occurs to one's mind it might create a image of a person with no makeup look or less styling. But to me it means a lot more different. I feel simplicity can be reflected in one's soul, and through it in his/ her actions. If a person is simple from his heart then he will always try to put his actions to hold before others. And this is what makes simplicity the hardest quality to acquire because as per human tendency we try to express what we feel through our words and actions but to put these two things at hold takes a lot of courage, patience and tolerance which we usually lack. The people who are simple from the bottom of their heart too express their feelings but mostly through their kind gestures which leaves a ever lasting imprint of their kindness on the other person. So, try to be simple and clear in your life to achieve simplicity.

To Cultivate the Love of Learning

However, when children develop a love for learning, half the battle is won. There would be no need to

force children to complete assignments or to pressurize them to study to achieve good grades. They would want to learn naturally, finding new information and discovering answers by themselves. Here are four tried and tested ways, based on my teaching experience, to cultivate the love of learning in children:

1. Create A Safe Space For Children To Ask Questions- Children have the gift of curiosity and they should be allowed to pursue it without the fear of being judged or scolded. Once they have this safe space, their quest for knowledge will be ongoing and limitless. In my classes, I welcome questions instead of shunning them. As a result, my students get into the habit of not just asking me but also their peer's questions and, hence, deepening their learning.

2. Expose Children To Different Outdoor Environments- Oftentimes, the outdoor spaces are the best classrooms, as learning becomes authentic when children are allowed to experience and interact with their surroundings.

3. The Power Of Technology- The saying “If you can’t beat them, join them” holds true in this case. We cannot stop the advancement of technology in our children’s lives, but we can sure tap on the variety of resources available online or in the form of apps to enhance our children’s learning. Today we use maximum technology for learning.

4. Most children love dabbling in different art forms- such as painting, sketching, music, drama and dance because it allows them to bring their imagination to life. Practicing the arts not only improves the skills of the child but also makes them more sensitive to the world around them.

I hope these suggestions are useful for everyone.. It is my wish that schools, teachers and parents form solid partnerships to create learning environments to nurture the love of learning in children.

International Youth Day

Every year on 12th August,” United Nations International Youth Day” is celebrated to recognize efforts

of the world’s youth in enhancing global society. The main aim is to promote different ways to encourage them in becoming more active in making positive contributions towards society.

The youth of the age group between 15 to 24 years fall in this category. Youth form one-sixth of the population of the world. Young people proposed the idea for International Youth Day in 1991. In 1998, a resolution was passed to recognize 12th August as International Youth Day. It was later endorsed by the UN General Assembly in 1999. The first International Youth Day was observed in 2000.

It is aimed to bring everyone’s attention to youth issues all over the world. The slogans and themes used during the previous years are as follows – Mental Health (2014), Youth and Civic Engagement (2015), The Road to 2030- Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Consumption and Production (2016), Youth Building Peace (2017), Safe Spaces for Youth (2018), Transforming Education (2019).

On this day different activities and events are held. For example, conferences are held where different speakers from various countries and fields encourage and motivate youth. Debates and discussions and award ceremonies are also held. In 2018 and 2019 International Youth Day was hosted by Indian Youth Café, Chennai. The event has its own speciality in empowering the youth.

For 2020, the theme is “Youth Engagement for Global Action”. It aims to highlight different ways of engagement of young people at the local, national and global levels and enrich multilateral institutions and processes, as well as draw lessons on how their representation and engagement in formal institutional politics can be enhanced. The government also wants help from youth in helping to create awareness among people regarding Covid-19. This will help to save all people especially the youth in being victims to Covid-19.

The World of Books

One word we should never forget that’s “BOOK"

Once finding a friend in the book

One will never feel lonely.

And this bond remains till the end of life.

Books are great friends of mine

Who share multiple notions?

Hence the deal with everyone’s emotions

They deal with anger and grief but never complain.

Books take us to the places unexplored

It amazes me, reveals the identity of people unknown.

It gives us delight and enlightens our life.

They are the boats which sail us to further places.

On a journey of imagination and fairyland.

The greatest of the books of our mythology

Gives us answers, of the questions untold

My friendship with them is ever unbreakable.

As we share a peaceful conversation

I promise to keep you beside me

No matter where and how I am.

Self Motivation

Motivation is a very strong tool that we can use to get further in life to achieve our dreams and goals.

Setting goals for ourselves is something that I consider to be very important, I believe in always pushing myself further and further in life, not only physically but mentally as well. We all have different things or tools we can use to motivate us towards our end goals. In order for us to stay motivated, we have to have a goal and be driven towards achieving that goal.

Self-motivation is the window of a room with a closed-door that keeps you reminding that there is always a way to achieve things you desire. Wanting to do something and motivating yourself to actually do it are two different things. The difference between those who never reach their goals, even after years and years, and those who achieve one goal after another is nothing but their self-motivation, it’s the positive inner force that pushes them to move further and help them achieve their goals.

When you think you want to give up on something, or you just don’t know how and where to start from, your self-motivation is the key that unlocks the door for you to explore and achieve. With self-motivation, learn and grow – regardless of the hurdles coming in your way. That’s why it’s such a fundamental tool for reaching your goals, achieving your dreams, and succeeding, in this journey called life.

Positive thinking is an important element to build strong self-confidence. It’s important to look at things positively, especially when things aren’t going as per plans and you really want to give up. If you keep thinking negative about things or you feel you won’t succeed, it may influence things around you in such a way that all your negative predictions will come true which will make you more and more upset.

This happens in the cases where you need to work hard to achieve your goals, or if you need to persuade others to support you in order to succeed. Your thoughts have a major influence on your success or failure, so make sure those thoughts are “on your side.

”Focusing on your goals is also an important part to keep yourself motivated. When you have many goals, always schedule your time and resources effectively. You can achieve the “focus” part of self-motivation by prioritizing and establishing a schedule that will help you succeed in accomplishing your work more effectively. It doesn’t make sense to work until you’re exhausted or give up one goal to achieve another or just simply doing half of every work and completing none. So always keep motivating and stay motivated

Independence Day

Every year on 15th August, India celebrates Independence Day. India became an independent country in the year 1947 from British rule. Each one of us is born free, dies free and wants to live free. India achieved its Independence with great struggle and effort. Several freedom fighters and many great men sacrificed their lives to achieve nation’s freedom from the grip of British rule. The movement of independence in India was started by the Indian freedom fighters under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.
These freedom fighters endured severe struggle in order to achieve the nation’s freedom. 15th August is celebrated with high enthusiasm in order to pay honour to our legendary freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for our motherland. Independence Day motivates us to love our country and be forever willing to sacrifice our lives for its honour and integrity. Being a part of such a beautiful nation one must not forget these sacrifices. We must honour and preserve the the integrity and dignity of the country. We should maintain the slogan of unity in diversity.

There is a saying that if you want to see change then first change yourself. Because it always starts with us. Freedom is not only a privilege but it is the duty of each and every being of the nation to respect our motherland. We can truly enjoy freedom when we will be free from social differences and many ill practices which happens in the nation. This should not be motivated at any cost. If you expect equality then you should be capable to give equal treatment to everybody. So you must give respect to take respect. On this note, I wish you a very Happy Independence day. Let's spread positivity and peace all around.

Contributions towards the Country

This year we have celebrated our 74th Independence day. Many of us put posts on our social media

status and wish each other on the occasion of National festivals. That is one of the ways to express our love and respect towards our country but don't you think action speaks louder than words. Yes, we should do more than that to contribute towards our country. We should be expressive in both words and action. Sometimes, we should ask ourselves a question, 'What is my contribution towards my country?, I know we all can't be soldiers or corona warriors but still there are many things which we can do to make our country a better place. We can contribute to our country by paying tax on time because this money is used for the development of our country, by doing our work honestly, by helping needy one, by following rules and laws, by raising our voice against wrong, by taking care of public property, by educating ourselves as well as others, by making difference in others life,  by being unselfish, by protecting nature to reduce pollution, by supporting equality, by understanding both our rights and duties, by creating a happy environment etc. Our soldiers are protecting us day and night by sacrificing their lives, so can't we put these little efforts for our country. We really need to think about these things. If we want to see India in the list of developed countries, we have to put our efforts towards it, it is not only the responsibility of the government, and we are the key factor who can bring huge change if we really love our country. These days our Prime Minister Mr. has talked about a vision ' Aatma Nirbhar Bharat' to make a self reliant country.

As he said, Vocal for Local’ we all should also contribute towards it and encourage local business and work on quality products.

Independence Day

'For our tomorrow they give their today'

We all know that India got Independence on 15th August 1947.But don't think this day as a holiday. This is a day of glory, this is a day of pride, not a holiday. Our freedom fighters, our soldiers never said that we don't want freedom now we will fight for it later, today enjoy the holiday. They said that."They live for the country, they fight for the country and they will die for the country.

We have seen Tukde Tukde Gang. These are only *Anti Indian terrorist*.who do only violence and said anti country slogans. They do not even respect the soldiers and their sacrifices they just do politics. If I get a chance to talk  to Tukde Tukde Gang, I will only say that "If soldiers are not there, we will  also not be here".

So respect the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and soldiers.

*Happy Independence Day*

Importance of Discipline

Good Morning all of you. Today I am going to tell you why discipline is important in our life.

Discipline is an important behavior in life. It is a character trait which is crucial for expressing many other attributes in life. It refers to orderliness in life, which is essential for success in one’s life.

Discipline brings punctuality in a person's life. It teaches the person to be responsible and respectful. An army cannot fight without strict discipline and educational institutions cannot run without discipline. The possession of self discipline enables you to choose, and then preserve with action, thoughts and success. There is a huge role of discipline in students’ life. It also enables a student to maintain routine and can study according to the timetable. Good discipline generate a positive attitude in students which is the most essential thing that students need in their life. Discipline also creates confidence and eagerness in students. Because of these things, students become active in each field of their life.

Students need self-control while talking with their teachers or elder people. So if they do not stay in the discipline they do not have self-control and this becomes unpleasant for them. Students have to use words carefully while talking with someone because of this they also build good relations with others. Lack of Discipline brings failures, stress, uncertainty, regress and remorse in life. Discipline is the ultimate king of success in life. It is the essential for success. Discipline is the core value of universe.

It is rightly said that, “Life without discipline is just like a ship without radar”.

Importance of Sports

Sports are an essential part of our life. It teaches us how to stay strong and healthy and also tests our physical abilities. Usually, when we are going in for any sports activity or match, we compete with other people in order to prove ourself best and also get some entertainment. At the same time, physical exercises bring a bunch of great benefits for the participants.

All kinds of sports benefit us in many ways like strong physical health, great team spirit, and strong organizational features. Many sports like football, basketball, hockey and cricket are taught in school and children also love to play and watch these games. The physiological and physical advantages obtained within sports activities result in enriched physical stamina and improved reflexes. It is one of the top activities which bring great results for people of any age. So we must always participate in every sports activities to keep our body fit and healthy.

WILDLIFE ACTIVISM

• Activism means a Doctrine or practice that emphasizes direct vigorous action especially and support

of or opposition to one side of a controversial issue wildlife activism. As we all know that wildlife is very important for us in many ways ,especially it has ecological importance wildlife helps in maintaining the ecological balance of nature. killing of carnivorous where it leads to an increase in the number of herbivorous which in turn affect the forest vegetation thus due to lack of food in the forest, they come out from the forest to agricultural land and destroy our crops.

• There is a big need to save wildlife because day by day its ratio is decreasing on a large scale. Because humans are not aware that wildlife is as important as human life. Some of the biggest threats to wildlife include illegal trade, Habitat destruction, invasive species, pollution and climate change. When we conserve and protect the natural habitat of wildlife species, we reach our planet . To do so, we must keep the animals in their natural place. Conservation of natural habitats will also be beneficial for humans since it helps keep the essential watersheds intact and ensures cleaning, freshwater.

• One compelling benefit that comes from wildlife conservation efforts is that it ensures food security. Protecting forests from deforestation and rebuilding forest habitats to preserve biodiversity aids in the carbon sequestering process, provides new economic opportunities, and Guards against erosion. Government has also released many policies to save wildlife. As I have told you, humans are not taking care of wildlife, but there are still few people left who are dedicated towards wildlife activism. They are working on and on only for wildlife. These kinds of people are known activists. Activist is a person who campaign for animals to be treated equally to humans

We can protect animals in many ways:

• Educate your family about endangered species in your area.

• Recycle and buy sustainable products.

• Reduce your water consumption.

• Reduce your personal footprint.

• Do not buy plastic products.

Self Respect

Self Respect is an essential element in human life without which we cannot face this world successfully.

With self-respect, you can conquer the world. Without it, you are defeated. It should be your firm belief that you are worthy to yourself and to your community.

If you suffer from feelings of inferiority, understand how this feeling has come about, why it persists in your life and take practical steps to be free from such feelings.

A person felt bad in the presence of other people. When it is analyzed, it was found that as a young boy he had a humiliating experience at a party. Later he tried to forget about it. But the experience had stayed with him. A great deal of inferiority feeling is an expression of earlier humiliation. A small girl was sure of her mother’s affection. The one ambition of her infant life was to be accepted and loved by her mother. To her surprise, a brother was born. She developed the feeling that her mother does not love her. And so inferiority troubled her. Her Self Respect went down.

What does a child do when, in his search for satisfaction finds himself humiliated? He turns the energies that would normally go into fulfillment and happiness and employs them in his rebellion. As he cannot find fulfillment in acceptance and love, secretly he becomes the enemy of those who trouble him. And in rebellion he gets a kind of satisfaction.

As he can not get his joy of being admired, he will suffer until his heart suffers with pain. This practice becomes habit forming. You must break this pattern of life at all costs. As a child, you felt yourself rejected and therefore worthless. This was your first mistake. It is this first error you must rectify. Now, repeatedly, you must tell yourself you are wanted and loved. You must break the feeling of humiliation and revenge by understanding its origin and by giving up the habit that rooted itself in your life.

At last I want to say that never lose your self confidence in any situation because it is the best weapon you have with you so, please hold it till the end of life

Language and Learning

Bilingual, tri-lingual, multilingual or vernacularism how does it impact learning?

While the world is imbibing the idea of bilingual learning, India has practiced tri-lingual learning since ages. Most of the Indian students learn three languages by default; English, Hindi and the mother tongue which is the vernacular language. India has a rich heritage of languages; most Indians speak multiple languages.

Learning of the mother tongue happens naturally through interactions within the family, mother tongue develops a comfort and warmth towards people and towards learning. Mother tongue greatly impacts on developing the cultural, social and personal identities of children.

Research has proven that kids who learn in their mother tongue develop creativity and a better sense of critical thinking. Children with a strong foundation in their mother tongue can accept the structure of their language and use this knowledge to pick up other languages more easily. Former President A.P.J Abdul Kalam has favoured imparting science education to children in vernacular languages to encourage creativity and enable easy grasp of subjects.

Language is a pathway to communicate thoughts, ideas, information and data. Creativity, innovations, critical thinking are the keys to success and to build these the core subjects should be taught in a language which the child understands, as only then he or she will be able to create. Children should be treated like humans and not like robots. If things are taught in their native language, they will learn the toughest of the things.

To state a fact, most of our scientists working in ISRO have had their schooling in vernacular languages. A language can never be a hindrance in the path of success.

Friendship

Friendship is a relationship which cannot be described by words and is beyond description. Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August month.  In 1935, a tradition of dedicating a day in honour of friends began in the US. Gradually Friendship Day gained popularity and various countries including India also celebrate this day.

When the whole world turns its back towards you, then it is the friend who will be always at your side. Everybody goes through some difficult phases in life. During those times you need a shoulder to cry on. Friends can give exactly that. They will be there to listen to your nonsense talks and still acknowledge whatever you are saying to lighten your heart.

Just imagine life without friends. It would be boring. Friends are those who will always make fun, make you laugh and bring you out of depression. They are those who inspire us, guide us and motivate us. In history, we get examples of many friendship stories, which show the importance of friend in life. From the stories of Krishna and Arjun, Ram and Sugreev, Krishna and Sudama, Duryodhan and Karn it shows that friends have always been a person who helps and supports us.

Everything came to a standstill due to the pandemic situation. COVID 19 separated each other but friends couldn’t be separated for friendship is a bond between two hearts. Meeting our friends physically gives a different joy altogether, however in these difficult times, we could easily manage by looking at their faces using video calls. We can stay together just like normal life, without physical touch.  Those who love reading got their best buddies during COVID 19, which are books. Books not only give us knowledge but they also give us good company. It has been rightly said by John Evelyn ‘Friendship is the golden thread that ties the heart of all the world.’

Hiroshima Day

Hiroshima Day 2020 - On 6 August 2020, Hiroshima Day is observed to mark the atomic bomb attack

on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan by the United States of America. The day aims to promote peace politics against the war. Hiroshima day aims to raise awareness about the threat of nuclear weapons and the dangers of nuclear energy used for the destruction of mankind.

On 6th August 1945, more than 9,000-pound Uranium-235 bomb was loaded on a modified B-29 bomber, dropping the world’s first atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. This happened during World War II, that is, 1939-45. The explosion wiped out 90% of the city. It immediately killed 70,000 people and tens of thousands later died due to exposure to nuclear radiations. The bombings ended the Second World War. After 3-days, on 9 August, a second nuclear bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. The second bombing killed an estimated 40,000 people. The then Japan's Emperor Hirohito announced Japan’s unconditional surrender in World War II on 15th August citing the devastating power of a new and most cruel bomb.

During the Second World War Japan was against the United States America and its allies like Britain and the Soviet Union. The allies were winning the war and Japan was pushed back from several locations. During the war, several soldiers used to die every day and Japan had been at war for so many years. Later, Japan and China teamed up and attacked America. The then President of the US Harry S Truman wanted to surrender Japanese soldiers as quickly as possible and save lives. He permitted the nuclear bombing with a view that the Japanese will surrender after the destruction. The United States wanted to avoid the invasion of Japan through the land and by the Soviet Union. So, America dropped a nuclear bomb in Hiroshima, Japan.

A few years after the bombing, there occurred an increase in the incidence of leukaemia among the survivors. After a decade, thyroid cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, and other forms of cancer were also observed at higher than normal rates. The other effects included Pregnant women subjected to the bombing experienced higher rates of miscarriages and infant deaths. The children who were exposed to the radiation whilst in their mothers’ wombs were born with intellectual disabilities, impaired growth, and an increased predisposition towards developing cancer.

The detonation of the plutonium bomb led to radioactive dust particles falling out of the sky around the site of the explosion. Water and wind currents carried the radioactive dust across a much larger radius, effectively contaminating the ground, water supply, and the food chain. The contamination spread among agricultural plants, aquatic creatures, and terrestrial animals. Scientists also expected the effects of radioactive contamination to remain in the environment and the atmosphere up to decades. At least 66,000 people were killed and around 69,000 more were injured in the explosion alone.

Hiroshima Day is observed annually on 6 August. Hiroshima Day 2020 marks the 75th year of the attack on Hiroshima. It reminds us of the bombing attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the United States during World War II in 1945.  At 8:15 am on the morning of 6th August every year, people mark the exact moment when the atomic bomb was dropped. At that moment, bells ring out at temples, sirens wail throughout the city and the citizens of Hiroshima observe a solemn moment of silence in remembrance of citizens who died in the attack.

Quit India Movement

Quit India Movement Day (77th anniversary) is observed on 8 August which is also known as August

Kranti. It is considered as an important movement in the freedom struggle where masses also participate and take charge itself.

In April 1942, the Cripes mission failed. Within less than four months, the third great mass struggle of the Indian people for freedom started. This struggle is known as the Quit India movement. On 8 August, 1942 at the Bombay session of All India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi during World War II passed a resolution of Quit India Movement. This resolution declared that the immediate ending of the British rule in India was an urgent necessity for the sake of India and for the success of the cause of freedom and democracy, for which the countries of the United Nations were fighting against fascist Germany, Italy and Japan. The resolution called for the withdrawal of the British power from India. Once free, it said, India with all her resources would join the war on the side of those countries who were struggling against fascist and imperialist aggression.

The mantra of movement was do or die. We shall either be free or die in the attempt”. “Quit India” and “Do or Die” became the battle cries of the Indian people during the Quit India movement. By the end of 1942, about 60,000 people had been jailed and hundreds were killed. Among the killed were many young children and old women

The war years were a period of terrible suffering for the people of India. Besides the misery caused by the repression by British army and police, there was a terrible famine in Bengal in which about 30 lakh people died. The government showed little interest in providing relief to the starving people. There is no doubt that the "Quit India Movement", united the Indian people against British rule. Although most of the demonstrations were suppressed by 1944. But after Gandhi's release in 1944 from the prison, he continued his protest and went on a 21-day fast. By the end of World War II, Britain's position in the world had changed dramatically and the demand for independence could no longer be ignored.

Benefits of Online Teaching

Online Teaching has become a hot trend in recent times. As technology has developed, so too has the way we learn new skills. Thanks to the internet, those interested in boosting their knowledge and skills now have a wide range of options open to them. The main difference between online and offline learning is location. With offline learning, participants are required to travel to the training location, typically a lecture hall, college or classroom. With online learning, on the other hand, the training can be conducted from practically anywhere in the world.

Learning and teaching can occur at times that are more convenient and productive for both students and teachers. Students can work at their own place within a given framework .Online education provides opportunities to access and share information more easily and readily. Teachers and students are able to join online communities of practice based on their area of interest rather than their geographic location. It's obvious that any study resource or information in digital format is very easy to be accessed and shared.

Online teachers often report that students usually perform better and also show more participation in discussions during online classes. According to a recent survey conducted on a group of online instructors, 90% of them have reported that teaching online helps them to stay more connected with the students and also gives them the ability to have better understanding about every student .

My Experience as Corona Positive

Past some days I was feeling sick. In the starting I took it lightly. But later on I became more sick and I

went to the hospital. There I had the test of corona. After five days my report came and it was positive. After that the ambulance reached my house and it took me to the Government College of Bali where other Corona Patients were quarantined. There were five more people with me whom I didn't know. On the first day I felt alone but the second day I started with my online classes and I was engaged in it so I didn't feel alone. And apart from this I downloaded PDF file of my books and started reading and I enjoyed reading. Also I talked with my friends on calls and that also made me so happy. In this way I engaged myself with these things and I was happy and after that I didn't feel alone. Now I have recovered and returned home safe with everyone's blessings

Raksha Bandhan (Rakhi)

Our country is the land of festivals, celebrations and some festivals strengthen the bond and relations – Raksha bandhan is one of them. It is a festival which strengthens the relation of brother and sister. It is celebrated on the last day of Hindu month of Sawan (Poornima) i.e. the full moon day. It is celebrated in the month of August every year.

On this day the sisters tie various colourful bands made up of silk /satin /cotton threads decorated with pearls etc on their brother’s wrist and in return brothers promises to save her against all odds and protect her in time of needs, in a lifetime.

We have instances from mythology and history where brothers came and help/rescued their sisters in difficult times – one of such incident is from Mahabharata, where Shri Krishna came running to help Draupdi, when she was in great need.

It is the festival which gives strength to human relations and values, and in today’s time and the generation it is important to make them aware of our rich traditions and culture.

What is success to you? How to be successful in life?

To some, when they think of success, they imagine wealth; others want power; some just want to make

a positive impact on the world.

All of these are perfectly valid, indeed success is a concept that means different things to different people. Though no matter what success is to you, it almost certainly isn’t something will come easily.

There are countless guides and books to being successful, however, as success is personal and unique to each individual. The advice contained in these books can often not be relevant. Therefore following the advice of a single individual can often be unhelpful.

With this in mind, considering the advice of a great many people, people whose ideas of success were different both to each other, and quite possibly, to you can be a good alternative.

Here are some best pieces of advice from some of the most successful people who have ever lived. If you want to learn how to be successful, these tips are essential.

1. Think Big

“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”

2. Find what you love to do and do it

“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”

3. Learn how to balance life

“There is an immutable conflict at work in life and in business, a constant battle between peace and chaos. Neither can be mastered, but both can be influenced. How you go about that is the key to success.”

4. Don't be afraid of failure

“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”

5. Be a person of action

“It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.”

6. Don't be afraid of introducing new ideas

“A person with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds.”

7. Believe in your capacity to succeed

“If you can dream it, you can do it.”

8. Always maintain a positive mental attitude

“Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.”

9. Be willing to work hard

“Unless you are willing to drench yourself in your work beyond the capacity of the average man, you are just not cut out for positions at the top.”

10. Be brave enough to follow your intuitions

“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

This clearly suggests that the key to achieve success, whatever you wish, comes down to the way you approach it mentally.

Moreover, no matter what stage of life you’re at now, you can still make a difference and pursue success.

Concentration and Composure

Modern time is the time of advancement in all fields which demands an extra effort on the part of everyone. Advancement in science has resulted in developing a new interest in social networking as well as overuse of cell phone by children. They keep awake till late night because of these gadgets which affects their sleep pattern. As a result they don’t feel comfortable in the morning and their alertness and concentration is also affected. This leads to loss of energy also. People should realize the importance of sleep which is a boon to us. Sleep deficiency results in many health related problems like diabetes, obesity, depression also. Hence, the children must be made to understand that they must have proper sleep so as to energise themselves. Meditation and yoga can help them a lot in overcoming sleeplessness. All the body activities will return to their normal self and they will feel refreshed. Yoga and meditation are the best therapies and are an answer to present day lifestyle diseases. These will keep them stress-free which further helps in keeping good health and improves concentration power. Therefore, children must switch over to yoga, meditation to overcome the stress and keep their composure

Importance of Online Assessment in Education

Online Assessment is the most important part of the learning process, it focuses on the opportunities to

develop students’ abilities, self assessment of their own performance and work upon the weak areas. With the advancement of digitization and technology, e-learning has become a tool that has saved not only time but also the efforts of an individual. During this pandemic period of COVID-19, online assessment has been very helpful for both students and teachers. There are some advantages and disadvantages of this online assessment. Advantages of Online Assessment: it saves a lot of money and time. the assessments can be completed in less time, multiple candidates can complete the online assessment at the same time. Also, the test takers are able to take the assessment during class, or at home, using their own devices. Disadvantages of Online Assessment technology is not always reliable, there might be connection or internet problems, energy breaks and other things like that. In conclusion I want to say that as a person will save a lot of time and money in many other ways. It’s up to you to decide what is the best option in your case, that is, keep using hard copy assessments or go for the online option.

Intelligence is not enough

Some people think all you need to have a happy life is to be smart but they are wrong. You could be the smartest person in the world but that doesn't mean you will have more success than other people. You need many other things in life other than intelligence. One of them is the ability to cooperate well with people because if you were doing a project and you had to do it with someone and you couldn't cooperate well, you guys would be arguing the entire time and wouldn't be able to even finish the project. You also need to learn how to communicate well. Another thing you are going to need is leadership because it helps you with dealing with people and the ability to build respect and help people communicate. And to be a leader and have leadership you have to take everyone’s ideas into one big idea that everybody can agree with because leaders have to be fair, they can't just only choose their friends, and leave everybody else alone.

I would like to end my speech with a quote:

“We must remember that intelligence is not enough? Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education. Complete education gives one not only the power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate. ”
