Inaugrating Newly Constructed Computer & ATL Lab
Mr. William Bissell, founder of The Fabindia School along with Wolf Hertzberg, Caroline Bennett, Yogendra Singh visited the school on Sunday, 26th November. Ribbon cutting of the ATL and Computer Hall was done by him and the school principal, Ms. Rajeshree Shihag. Students of Class IX presented their AI and gained further knowledge on them. He was happy to see the progress and development of the students & the school. Wolf Hertzberg & Caroline Bennett escorted by Soumyajeet Solanki and Khushal Rajpurohit toured the school & the wild zone, sharing the philosophy of the school. They were impressed with the green environment & the infrastructure of the school.

Child-Centered Learning
Session was taken by Prerna Ma'am and Richa Ma'am on 23/11/23. This session was related to Child-Centered Learning, an educational approach that focuses on the needs and interests of the child. It emphasised active engagement, collaboration, and a hands-on learning experience. We also discussed student-led activities.
We delved into how teachers can adapt their teaching methods to support Child-Centered Learning. Important values that a student should possess, such as Trust, Kindness, Freedom, Understanding, Joy, Creativity, Exploration, etc., were discussed.

Managing Preschool Events
Session on Planning and Managing Preschool Events was taken by Pinkee Ma'am on 24/11/23. This session helped in clearly defining the objective of an event and how to organize a successful preschool event. It also guided how to plan and manage an event.
Planning and managing a preschool event requires collaborative effort, keeping in mind minute details, and focusing on creating a safe and enjoyable experience for children and their families. By following these key steps, organizers can ensure the success of the event and contribute to the positive development of the preschool community.

National Curriculum Framework (NCF)
Teacher's sessions/ meetings play a vital role in fostering a collaborative, informed, and supportive teaching environment, ultimately benefiting both educators and students. On November 23, 2023 (Thursday), a session was conducted by Ms. Bharti Rao and Ms. Prerna Rathod on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). Some key points that were discussed include:
- The framework provides the basis for creating syllabi, textbooks, and teaching practices within the school education program in India.
- It is a policy based on earlier government reports on education, such as 'learning without burden.' The framework promotes the child’s well-balanced and harmonious development.
- It guides teaching decisions at different stages of teaching styles in schools.
- The session provided valuable insights into enhancing children's education by combining play-based learning, effective memorization strategies, and the integration of nature experiences.

गुरु नानक जयंती एक बहुत ही खास दिन है। यह त्योहार हमें गुरु नानक देव जी के जीवन और उनके सिखाए गए अच्छे कार्यों की याद दिलाता है। गुरु नानक देव जी ने हमें सिखाया कि हमें सभी लोगों के साथ अच्छे व्यवहार करना चाहिए और हमें एक दूसरे की मदद करनी चाहिए। उनका महत्वपूर्ण संदेश था "एक ओंकार", जिससे हमें यह सिखने को मिलता है कि हम सभी एक ही परमात्मा के साथ जुड़े हुए हैं। इस दिन, हम गुरुद्वारे जाते हैं और वहां पर कीर्तन गाते हैं। हम एक दूसरे के साथ प्यार भरे भावना से मिलते हैं और सिखते हैं कि हमें हमेशा सच्चे और नेक कामों में लगना चाहिए।

What's beauty?
Everyone has different beauty and unique qualities. I believe we need to learn to love our qualities and be comfortable with the fact that everyone is different. Beauty is not in the clothes we wear, the figure we carry, or the way we comb our hair. True beauty is seen in our eyes because that is the doorway to our heart, the place where love resides. It is reflected in our soul, in the caring we lovingly give and the passion we show.

RP: What qualities do you think is important for a house captain?
LSI: In my opinion, some important qualities for a house captain are leadership, responsibility, good communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.
RP: what advice do you have for the students who aspire to become house captain?
LSI: My advice for students aspiring to become a house captain is to be proactive, get involved in school activities, and demonstrate your leadership skills. Also, don't be afraid to voice your ideas and listen to others.
RP: Have you faced any challenges or obstacles as a house captain and how did you overcome them?
LSI: As a house captain, I faced challenges like organizing events, dealing with conflicts, and managing time. To overcome them, I sought help from my fellow housemates, communicated openly, and planned ahead to ensure everything ran smoothly. It's all about teamwork!

RP: Can you share a memorable experience or story from your time as a student?
KPS: During the annual function, we'd skip classes, practice until evening, and have a lot of fun. I also played for the school cricket team, with the sports teacher often calling me during classes for practice to represent our school at the district level. We'd even sneak into the forest behind the school stage without permission.
RP: What message for Fabindians?
KPS: This school is perfect for academics, recreation, sports, and extracurricular activities. It's an ideal place for personal enhancement—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Keep the school clean and green.
RP: How has the school helped your development?
KPS: The school played a crucial role in my life—studies, sports, and cultural activities. Thanks to it, I have a strong command of spoken English and participated in three state tournaments. Today, I am a successful criminal lawyer practicing at the Rajasthan High Court in Jodhpur.
RP: Changes in the school?
KPS: Over 15 years, the school has evolved with new facilities, a basketball court, and updated staff. The uniform has changed too. In our time, girls had a different uniform—skirts and t-shirts. Also, there was no house uniform during our time.

After coming back from our beautiful and joyful Diwali vacation, the school is now gearing up for its annual exhibition on 30th November. Additionally, there will be a Tinker fest from 28th to 30th November, and a Career fair on 30th November. Students have already started their preparations.
