Learning Through Play, Creativity & Team Spirit
Welcome to another exciting edition of The School Weekly!
Every week at The Fabindia School brings fresh opportunities for our students to learn, explore, create, and collaborate. The last week of July was no exception. While students remained focused on their academic learning, they also participated in engaging classroom activities and school events that encouraged observation, creativity, teamwork, and leadership.
From exciting flashcard games in the Primary Section to vocabulary-building activities in Class II and energetic cricket trials followed by club planning sessions for senior students, the week was filled with enthusiasm and meaningful learning experiences.
PREPRIMARY SECTION
This week, our children participated in an exciting Nature Clay Activity. They explored different natural materials to create and play with clay. Most classes prepared soft dough using flour and natural colours made from turmeric (yellow), beetroot (pink), and spinach (green). The UKG class also explored the texture of natural mud, giving children a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature through hands-on learning.

The activity encouraged sensory exploration, creativity, fine motor development, imagination, and teamwork. The children enjoyed moulding different shapes and objects while learning that natural and eco-friendly materials can be used for creative play.

It was wonderful to see that today's young generation is becoming aware of the importance of nature, weather, and environmental conservation. We are truly grateful to the parents of Little Sayali (UKG) and Bhavyansh (Nursery) for planting trees to enhance the beauty of our Kindergarten campus. Their thoughtful contribution is helping us create a greener, healthier, and more beautiful environment for our children.

It was a joyful and enriching experience that fostered curiosity, creativity, and an appreciation for nature, making learning meaningful and memorable for our little learner
PRIMARY SECTION
Flash Card Matching Activity

Learning becomes memorable when children experience it through play!
Our Primary Section students enthusiastically participated in the Flash Card Matching Activity, where they picked flashcards displaying pictures of familiar classroom objects and searched for the corresponding real object in the classroom.
The activity encouraged students to carefully observe their surroundings, improve vocabulary, and strengthen word-object association. As they eagerly matched each flashcard with the real item, the classroom transformed into an exciting learning arena filled with curiosity and joyful exploration.
The activity also enhanced:
👀 Observation skills
🧠 Memory and recognition
📚 Vocabulary development
🤝 Active participation and confidence
The smiles on the children's faces reflected how enjoyable learning can be when education is combined with movement and interaction.
CLASS II CREATIVE LEARNING
The students of Class II enjoyed an exciting language activity where they were given a word and challenged to change just one letter to create an entirely new word.
For example:
Cat → Bat → Bag → Bug
Through this engaging exercise, students discovered how a single letter can completely change the meaning of a word.
The activity helped students:
📖 Expand their vocabulary
✍️ Improve spelling skills
💡 Develop phonics awareness
🧩 Strengthen language and thinking abilities
Learning new words became an enjoyable challenge, and students enthusiastically came up with many creative word combinations.
MIDDLE & SENIOR SECTION
Cricket Trials Begin!
Sports play an important role in developing confidence, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
Students from the Middle and Senior Sections enthusiastically participated in the Cricket Trials, showcasing their batting, bowling, fielding, and overall sportsmanship.
The trials provided students with an opportunity to display their talent while learning the importance of teamwork, commitment, and fair play.
We wish all the selected players the very best for the upcoming sporting events!
Planning New Projects Together
Following the cricket trials, students attended their respective Club Meetings, where club in-charges and members gathered to discuss exciting projects scheduled to begin from next Saturday.

Students exchanged ideas, planned activities, assigned responsibilities, and discussed how they could contribute creatively to their clubs.
These meetings encouraged:
🤝 Collaboration

🗣️ Communication and teamwork
We are excited to witness the innovative projects our students will bring to life in the coming weeks.
